SIM cards, Wi-Fi, and the apps that run the island.

Getting online in Curaçao takes about 15 minutes. Here is exactly how we set new arrivals up.

SIM cards and mobile data

The two main networks are Digicel and Flow. Both sell prepaid tourist SIMs at the airport and at any supermarket. A month of solid data is around €20 to €30. Bring an unlocked phone and you're set in ten minutes.

Wi-Fi in your housing

Every NextWave room is on fast fiber Wi-Fi, strong enough for Zoom, streaming, and remote work. If a room ever tests slow, we swap the mesh node the same day.

Local apps students use

A short list covers 95% of daily needs.

  • Google Maps

Works everywhere on the island for driving directions.

  • WhatsApp

The default for everything: friends, house chat, tour operators, even doctors.

  • Bringme

Local food and grocery delivery in Willemstad.

  • Digicel My Digicel / Flow

Top up your local SIM in one tap.
