What a month in Curaçao actually costs.

Housing is only one line item. Here is what students and interns typically spend on the rest, in euros with a rough USD read.

Food costs

Cooking at home is affordable; restaurants sit between US and European prices. A weekly grocery run is roughly €55 to €80 per person. A casual lunch is €10 to €14. A nice dinner out with drinks lands around €35 to €55.

Going out and nightlife

Local beers are €3 to €4, cocktails €8 to €12, and beach club covers are usually free before 11pm. A typical weekend of dinner, drinks, and one beach club night runs around €70 to €120 depending on your pace.

Car costs

A small rental car is around €25 to €35 per day short-term, or €400 to €550 per month bundled through NextWave. Gas is inexpensive, and fuel for a normal week of driving is €25 to €40.

A realistic monthly picture

On top of your NextWave rent, most residents spend roughly €650 to €1,000 per month on food, going out, and their share of a car. Cook a few nights a week and share transport and you land at the lower end without trying.
